This project was a design challenge. We had to create our own version of the pieces of a chess board. It had to be inspired in an artist from the XX century. I chose Antonio Gaudi because I love his work, is so organic, and eccentric. It inspires me to create the most unique chess pieces. I sculpted the pieces and it already looked like his style, but I though it needed more. So, I had the idea of making the illusion of tiles with small pieces of magazine paper.
