This is a mural I painted in a new park in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz in Mexico. Quetzalcoatl in the Aztec history is represented as a snake with feathers and Coatzacoalcos means place where the snake hides. The legend says that Quetzalcoatl arrived here in a small boat and sailed across the river until he disappears in the horizon, under the promise of coming back some day. This is why I choose it as the central theme of this piece.
